The Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (the “JCAA”) is the only institution in Japan dedicated to manage arbitration and mediation procedures to resolve both international and domestic business disputes, covering all industries and sectors. The International Arbitration Center in Tokyo (IACT) is a non-profit established jointly byglobal intellectual property leaders.

JAA conducts the following activities:
・Training and education for arbitrators, mediators, and other professionals involved in arbitration and ADR.
・Research on laws and practices, as well as the development of improved procedures.
・ Promote the dissemination and awareness of arbitration and ADR through the facilitation of communication and cooperation among practitioners, researchers, and others interested in arbitration and ADR.
JAA was established with the goal of promoting and raising awareness of arbitration and ADR.
Additionally, it operates as an international mediation organization.
