The Japan Commercial Arbitration Association

The Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (the “JCAA”) is the only institution in Japan dedicated to manage arbitration and mediation procedures to resolve both international and domestic business disputes, covering all industries and sectors. With over 70 years of history, the JCAA has continuously evolved to meet the needs of its users.
In recent years, the JCAA has expanded the diversity of its panel of arbitrators, utilized online technology, and promoted expedited dispute resolution options with timelines of three or six months, ensuring fair and efficient resolutions tailored to the nature of each dispute.
Additionally, the JCAA actively disseminates the benefits of arbitration and mediation through seminars and other initiatives.

International  Arbitration Center in Tokyo

The International Arbitration Center in Tokyo (IACT) is a non-profit established jointly byglobal intellectual property leaders.

IACT works with iconic neutrals from each continent and resolves cases fairly and quickly. IACT is characterized by its international presence,its expertise, the unparalleled knowledge and experience of neutrals, and flexibility.

Simplified arbitration rules and the Data Status Certificate (DSC) have been introduced foradditional business advantage.

Japan Association of Arbitrators

JAA conducts the following activities:
・Training and education for arbitrators, mediators, and other professionals involved in arbitration and ADR.
・Research on laws and practices, as well as the development of improved procedures.
・ Promote the dissemination and awareness of arbitration and ADR through the facilitation of communication and cooperation among practitioners, researchers, and others interested in arbitration and ADR.
JAA was established with the goal of promoting and raising awareness of arbitration and ADR.
Additionally, it operates as an international mediation organization.
